T. G. Shand.

Described most often as ‘dreamy’, this lofi dream-pop project is produced by Annemarie Duff out of Ōtautahi, in the South Island of New Zealand.

Blurring the lines between dream-pop, shoegaze, lo-fi and alternative, T. G. Shand aka Annemarie Duff is creating unique sonic soundscapes. The self-produced discography has topped the NZ Alt Charts, landed the Student Radio Network 2023 Best EP and the live band recently opened for celebrated international alt artist Blonde Redhead.

Previously of Melbourne shoegazers, Miniatures, T. G. Shand has a modern nostalgic vibe for lovers of “lush, twangy guitar-pop”. These tunes have been regulars on the Alt NZ charts and SRN charts over the last few years. Beats-driven and shimmery, they come with a classic twist from the 90s shoegaze scene.

The T. G. Band played Nest Fest, Nostalgia Festival and have been playing select opening slots since.

A melting pot of hazy shoe gaze with massive, folky guitar sounds... moments of quiet and space before diving into lush chords and just the dreamiest guitar.
— Under The Radar
T. G. Shand has already shivered our timbers a couple of times... It is fair to say her brand of hazy songwriting is right up our strasse.
— Electric Sounds of Joy
A shimmering kaleidoscope of sound that leaves an indelible impression.
— Back Seat Mafia
As the song expands and shrinks like a psychedelic coral forest, T.G. Shand’s vocal stylings echo the unique and spontaneous incantations of Elizabeth Fraser
— Happy Magazine

Cinnamon EP.

Lead track ‘Cinnamon’ stands out as a quirky and driving tune with catchy, sugary vocals that leave a lasting impression. This EP houses a range of musical experiences, from floating intro track ‘Notions’ to heavier shoegaze numbers and an ethereal electronic closing track ‘Streets’.
